Last night really sucked, but only having a 5.5 hour drive to Dallas today was pretty great. Arkansas: it’s totally cool if you want to invest money in your roads. Really! Lots of states do it! I can’t imagine how all the bumps and rumble must’ve felt to these quiquagenarians on souped-up, street legal Jazzies.

I put in a couple hours and then let McCurdy do the rest so I could recharge a bit on a back bunk and we arrived in Dallas around 6pm. It was a great evening of people doing whatever the hell they wanted to do, which for McCurdy meant having the washing machine eat his jeans while breaking. Gavin and Darby got whiskey drunk, Ryan found her way to Deep Elum for an evening of Live Music Roulette and I got a massage to fix my mangled back and legs. I then met McCurdy for 2 drinks and dinner before sleep forced us to make a beeline back to the condo Paddy’s in-laws were so graciously allowing us to overtake. Sorry about the washing machine, Grubens! We swear we didn’t mean it! Dallas, I am quickly becoming a huge fan of you. Next stop, Fort Worth!
